A trip to London: Gold, Students and Jewels!

Last week Phil, Helen and Caroline went to visit some of our suppliers down in London, to talk future opportunities, and see how the Scrap Gold we are taking in at present is recycled…

The two day trip started with a visit to the Goldsmiths Craft Design Council Building in Farringdon where we discussed working with some students on designs, and tying it in with the highly successful Festival of Making which places in Blackburn Town Centre each July.

Next we visited our great friend Jayant Raniga and Pure Jewels and looked at his new ranges including a new 22ct range which we are looking to add to our growing Engagement Ring Collection later this year.

Thursday saw us visit Presmans Mastermelt where we toured their facility and saw what happened to the parcels of Customers Scrap Gold we send down to them and watched the processes in operation. Find out more on Instagram.

We then went to Emdico, a supplier we work with, to see his new office and look how we can work closer together, also taking the opportunity to look through their vast range of jewellery which would be impossible to see in its entirety at various events.

We followed that up with trips to Gemex and then the London Diamond Bourse catching up with our  industry friends.
