The finer details of this model really shine through the closer you get to it, with numerous design touches carried over from the new Land Rover Defender including the hexagonal detailing and the 'squircle' shaped hour markers. Look carefully at the dial and you'll spot orange micro markers at 19 and 48, significant because it was the year the first Land Rover was launched.
Gunmetal PVD with a hardness of 1200HV is generously applied to the 316L stainless steel case. Inside there's a stainless movement housing, suspended via elastomers for immense shock protection, while on the outside the easy grip timing bezel is fitted with a hardend steel insert with clear 0-60 markings. The triple seal screw down crown is positioned at 4H and recessed into the case to ensure it is kept out of harm's way whist the 2mm sapphire crystal is treated to an anti reflective coating for perfect visibility in all conditions.
The matt black dial contrasts perfectly with the white dial graphics and white/orange hour/minutes hands for maximum contrast during the day then by night the SuperLuminova luminous hands and batons ensure instant legibility.
The deeply detailed caseback features the Land Rover oval in the centre, superimposed over contour lines traced from Tyneham Cap on Dorset's Jurassic Coast, including spot heights above sea level. The case back is securely bolted down ensuring the Land Rover mark is always perfectly horizontal (unlike many case backs that screw onto the watch case).
Delivered in a bespoke recycled EVA travel/storage case with an additional black and orange anti-bacterial webbing strap, fitted with our patented buckle and a easy strap change tool that locks into the ends of the solid strap bars for quick strap changes even whilst out in the wild.
