Ainsworth Jewellers bring bespoke collection to new ‘pop up’ shop at Cathedral

Ainsworth Jewellers has announced a unique and exciting new pop-up shop at Blackburn Cathedral, where it will be selling exclusively curated pieces from German-jewellery brand, Coeur de lion.

Now on display in a bespoke cabinet, this event is the first of its kind set in the stunning Georgian Cathedral, with the venue being chosen as the perfect setting to showcase Coeur de lion’s vibrant GEOCube collection which takes inspiration from the Cathedral’s lantern and stained glass windows.

Coeur de lion, which operates from a workshop in Stuttgart where each piece is individually handcrafted, has created a collection of 56 unique and bespoke GEOCube pieces for Ainsworth Jewellers that embody the bold and bright colours of the rainbow and glass in each piece.

Phil Ainsworth, Owner of Ainsworth Jewellers, commented: “Visitors to the new display will be able to choose from a selection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings that have been created exclusively for us – meaning you wouldn’t be able to buy that same piece of jewellery from anywhere else in the world.

“The Coeur de lion pieces are simply stunning and so we couldn’t think of a more fitting venue than the Cathedral to display them in. In support of and recognition of what a beautiful and important part of local history and culture the Cathedral provides, we are also donating 10% of all sales on to the Cathedral.”

The Very Reverend Peter Howell-Jones, Dean at Blackburn Cathedral added: “We are delighted to be working with renowned local business, Ainsworth Jewellers, to display such an exclusive and stunning collection of jewellery.  The fact that the inspiration is our beloved Cathedral is just wonderful and we want to take this opportunity to thank Phil and Helen for their generous donation from their sales.”

The GEOCube range is characterised by its unique cubic design and use of natural gemstones and has become an iconic line for the Coeur de lion brand, which has proven very popular in the UK in recent years, prices start from £49.   All items from the collection can be purchased from the Checks and Greys café.

Family-run Ainsworth Jewellers, which is situated in the heart of Blackburn on Darwen Street, is 153 years old and is known locally for offering the finest quality jewellery, at reasonable prices, and its outstanding customer experience.
