Caroline Young joined the business in January 2019, with an extensive background in hospitality and retail which shaped her love of working with people. Thanks to her passion and commitment Phil and Helen both describe Caroline as ‘a family member in all but name’.
It is however, a fascinating fact that jewellery also runs through her DNA, Caroline’s great, great grandfather Francis Smith owned the jewellers J.S. Smith who once traded from Darwen Street (the present location of Ainsworth jewellers) and then at 67 Higher Eanam. Today Caroline continues to embody the family expertise with her hard work and dedication.
The company are proud to display her prestigious qualifications, she has achieved both the Jewellery Education Training (Jet) 1 & Jet 2 certification from the National Association of Jewellers and completed the De Beers Diamond Foundation course. Caroline is now undertaking further gemmological qualifications with the Gemmological Association which sets her career in the industry on course for even greater success.
Caroline says “I love learning about diamond and gemstones, it’s a fascinating world and sharing that knowledge with customers who are always keen to gain additional knowledge is such a privilege”
Caroline is also a qualified ear-piercing technician delivering a safe, quality and professional service with Inverness piercing from a new dedicated salon with unrivalled customer service and aftercare, adding to the Ainsworth service offering to the people of Blackburn and beyond.
